Treating Sports Injuries and Everyday Aches and Pains.
I am a Professional Massage Therapist with over ten years experience of helping people with musculoskeletal problems. I use a range of treatments to provide efficient and successful care for my clients. My goal is to provide a comprehensive treatment plan of your current symptoms while helping you prevent future injuries.
Remedial Massage aims to identify and treat the cause of a problem and not just the symptoms. It works on the manipulation of the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues using a variety of techniques including exercise therapy and advice. Remedial Massage is especially effective for treating chronic and tense areas such as stiff necks, tense shoulders and lower back tightness. All treatments are tailored specific to the individual, working to treat and prevent the recurrence of problems.
Sports Massage uses similar techniques to Remedial Massage and is typically used pre, during or post athletic events. The massage aims to help athletes avoid injuries, cool down after exertion and improve their overall performance. Sports Massage is part of many people’s training plans.
Thai Massage uses gentle, deep stretches and compressions along with acupressure and reflexology techniques resulting in a full body treatment. The treatment improves flexibility, circulation and relieves stress and muscular tension. It is effective at treating a range of musculoskeletal problems including back, neck, shoulder, hip and leg pain.

The EMMETT Technique is a unique body therapy created by Ross Emmett that uses light finger pressure at specific places on the body. It may be enjoyed by people of all ages, from babies to the elderly.
How does it work?
It is based on the belief that light touch can trigger a relaxation response in the soft tissue of the body, and that the therapist may help relieve tensions resulting in feelings of improved comfort.
Symptoms that may be assisted
The relaxing nature of the technique results in people reporting typical responses such as:
Improved comfort and ease within the area treated such as back, abdomen, hips, legs, knees, ankles, feet, shoulders, arms, hands and neck.
More restful sleep.
A sense of lightness within their body.
Many people find they feel more at ease within their body and that their emotional wellbeing is enhanced.
What should you expect?
You may be asked some questions about your general health and the reason for your visit. Treatments may be done while you are fully clothed, although some garments may need to be removed or loosened. Treatment times may vary according to your Practitioner. While individual experiences may vary, relief is often instantaneous.
The EMMETT Technique is a complete therapy on its own but has the ability to work in combination with other skills your EMMETT Practitioner may have.

Alexander Technique teacher STAT
Hi, I'm Mary and I work in a person-centred and practical way , so if you are looking for a way to feel better today, contact me.
I've been working with people seeking to improve their lives in various ways, for many years, and a few years ago I decided to study psychology at the Open University and then studied the Human Givens approach to emotional well-being. I completed the diploma course which I passed with Merit and then went on to pass the Post-graduate diploma to become a Human Givens practitioner, accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Whatever the cause, you don’t have to suffer anymore from:
Anxiety and stress
Addictions (all kinds)
The Alexander Technique is a way of learning about your whole self in order to live your life more fully.
F.M. Alexander called his work "psycho-physical re-education" and it has never been classified as a therapy, so people attend Alexander Technique lessons and I am an Alexander technique teacher (of 30 years standing!)
The benefits of learning this technique includes relief from chronic back pain, asthma, aches and pain in general, as well as developing self confidence and many related issues.
